Esports may be digital, but the infrastructure behind it is intensely physical.

EFM Global has entered a multi-year partnership with BLAST, becoming the competitive entertainment company’s primary global logistics partner for a touring esports circuit spanning Asia, Europe and North America.

The operation covers more than 20 major events per year, each involving upwards of 18 tonnes of air freight, mobile server farms, broadcast systems, LED architecture and competition-grade technology.

“Esports events move at the speed of light,” said Marcel Meyer, Global VP Events, EFM Global. “A single tournament involves synchronised deployment of staging, high-density computer infrastructure, broadcast gear for dozens of territories, influencer studios, hospitality and fan-facing theatrical show elements. Every crate must land with zero margin for delay, as these events stream live to audiences that rival major sports broadcasts.”

Each BLAST event combines elite competition with broadcast-level production, requiring precise sequencing from load-in through live match execution.

“What makes esports uniquely complex is the fusion of elite sport, broadcast television and touring production,” Meyer added.

BLAST’s growth in 2025 – with over 170,000 live attendees and millions of online viewers – reflects the sector’s continued expansion into arena-scale events.

James Brown, Commercial Director at BLAST, said, “EFM is the gold standard in event logistics, and we’re thrilled to welcome them as our Official Global Logistics Partner for 2026. Their expertise helps us deliver unforgettable esports experiences for fans around the world. This partnership strengthens the operational backbone of what makes BLAST events truly world-class.”
